Meet Brandon Barnes, Founder of Mighty Estates
I started Mighty Estates in 2016 after a career in supply chain operations. I had worked for several companies that kept getting bought, restructured, or downsized, and I got tired of having my income depend on someone else's spreadsheet. I paid for mentorship through Wholesaling Inc with Brent Daniels, started knocking on doors, and talked to homeowners across Atlanta who were stuck in tough situations. Then I figured out how to actually help.
What I learned along the way: most people who reach out to "we buy houses" companies have already been burned once. They have talked to three other investors who lowballed them, ghosted them, or locked them up under contract and bailed at the closing table. My whole approach is the opposite of that.
Here is what I tell every seller I talk to: if listing with an agent is a better fit for your situation, do that. I will tell you so. We are not trying to win every deal. We are trying to do the right deals with people we can help. The ones we cannot help, we point in the right direction.
My wife Venessa joined the business to handle the agent-side relationships and listings. She has been a Georgia real estate agent for years and is a former teacher. We have five kids. We live in the same area we work in. We are not going anywhere.
